The Expomark story
Building a better future for specialist fields
Since 1988 Expomark’s goal has been to bring together industry and healthcare professionals at trade fairs and events in order to build a better future for their specialist fields. Together with leading actors in their respective industries we create the foundations for pivotal encounters in the course of which solutions that propel Finnish business forward can be put together. We plan all our events in cooperation with professional associations and experts in the fields concerned.
Cooperation, growth and development
Cooperation with our founder members, Kunnossapitoyhdistys Promaint ry – the Finnish Maintenance Society and Invalidiliitto ry – the Finnish Association of People with Physical Disabilities has been close throughout the years. We still arrange maintenance industry events with Promaint and Assistive Technology events with Invalidiliitto. Expomark has been part of Suomen Messut – Finnish Fair Corporation since 2005.
In the early 1990s professional gatherings dedicated to facility service and assistive technology were joined by Energia – Energy, Pohjoinen Teollisuus – Northern Industry and Hyvä Ikä – Good Age events. Affectionately known as ‘Pote’, Pohjoinen Teollisuus – Northern Industry is the only event in Expomark’s repertoire which, as the name suggests, focuses on a region rather than an industry. New additions include the Fysioterapia & Kuntoutus – Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation event, known in the trade as ‘Fyku’, which premiered in 2018, and Proforest, staged for the first time in 2021.
Industry, healthcare and the event sector itself have undergone huge changes over the last thirty years. Technology, automation, robotics, digitalisation and big data as well as changing values and attitudes have revolutionised operating environments across the board. People’s need to meet and develop the future together has, however, survived. Inspiring encounters serve to rekindle people’s excitement about their own field and meeting both colleagues and customers. Precisely for this reason we want to offer pivotal encounters.
Events throughout Finland
Our events take place all over Finland, in locations that are easy for people to reach. Nowadays our main events are held in Helsinki, Oulu, Tampere and Kalajoki. Our efficient team of approximately ten people organises events from our base in Jyväskylä. In total we stage 6–8 major events, all of which are held at two-year intervals.
Expomark personnel are united by an honest passion for themes we consider vital across industry and healthcare. We find promoting them meaningful and these sectors thoroughly deserve the events dedicated to them.
